Prior to beginning any search requisition, your OCS Consultant, along with a secondary point of contact, will conduct an on-site visit to gain a clear understanding of your specific culture and recruitment needs. This assists us in understanding your organizational structure and the “wow factor” that separates you from your competitors. When a recruitment mandate is expressed to us, we follow a standardized recruitment process that has facilitated our ability to reduce client costs, increase the speed in which we deliver results while still producing high caliber candidates.

At OCS, we can sympathize with the stress associated with payroll calculations, employment legislation and source deductions. This is why we have designed and are now offering Payroll Services. As with all of the services we offer, we work to provide a range of solutions that are catered to suit your needs.
We can provide Payroll Services on a weekly, bi-weekly or even monthly basis. Once you have identified employees who will fill temporary or contract vacancies, we place them on our payroll and take care of all the necessary requirements. We work to assist you!
Payroll services are available without requiring a minimum usage, a long-term or exclusive contract.
We offer the following:
- Employee cheques or direct deposits
- Pay statements
- Government remittances
- Deductions and garnishes
- Records of Employment
- Payroll reports for each pay period
- Year-end tax forms and processing (T4s)
Our goal is to make this process as simple as possible for you. You make the selection and we will do the rest!
OCS is committed to extensively evaluating each candidate in order to only present those whose skills and abilities meet our client’s requirements.
The following evaluations are applicable to French, English and Spanish language competency needs: a Verbal test, a Written test, and a Translation (English to French) test.
By using a reliable and standardized tool, OCS is able to accurately assess candidates’ software skills. Our extensive computer testing of various programs and skills include, but are not limited to:
- Software Skills: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Administrative Capabilities: Data Entry, Spelling, Comprehension, Typing, etc.
- Call Centre: Call Centre Simulation, CRM Navigation, etc.
- Finance: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, Payroll, QuickBooks, etc.
We also have the ability to administer various personality tests.
Some highly qualified candidates may simply need the opportunity to brush up on their software skills. We provide the opportunity to improve software skills, as a courtesy, by sending online tutorials.
A search requisition is undertaken and our fee is due and payable only after a candidate is represented and takes a position with the client.
As a specialized recruitment service, the engaged search involves a partial payment prior to completing the specified search request.
As a specialized recruitment service, the retained search involves a retainer (up-front fee) required to perform a specific search. A deposit equal to one third (1/3) of the total search fee is due and payable upon initiation of the search request. Once the candidate(s) are selected for the initial interview, one third (1/3) of the total search fee is payable. The fee balance is then earned and will be invoiced upon the candidate’s date of hire. The OCS Professional Retained search means the client will operate on an exclusive basis with OCS.
OCS is pleased to offer clients our office as a potential meeting facility. In an effort to better assist with your needs we offer a quiet and confidential meeting venue, telephone conferencing software, reception service and refreshments. This is offered regardless of whether the prospective candidate is represented by Options Consulting Solutions.
In addition, when requested, we:
- Schedule interviews
- Provide the interviewer with the use of laptop and projector equipment
- Have a consultant in attendance
- Offer all stationary supplies
OCS offers on-site consultation for various matters including performance, disciplinary issues, and recruitment services. Consultants are available to act as in-house recruiters to assist clients with their immediate and urgent vacancies.
