Challenge

Since 2009, we have consistently delivered high-quality placements for our client, a Toronto-based not-for-profit organization supporting scientific initiatives, with most candidates placed within two weeks of receiving the request—some even within the same week. In 2019, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, our client faced significant hiring challenges. The need for skilled administrative professionals remained high, but traditional hiring processes were disrupted. Our task was to quickly identify and place qualified candidates while navigating pandemic-related restrictions.

Approach

To meet these challenges, we adapted our search strategy by leveraging creative solutions. We developed tailored job ads and transitioned the entire interview process online, ensuring a seamless shift from in-person interviews to fully virtual OCS-organized interviews. Leveraging our strong relationships with reliable and skilled temporary workers across North America, we ensured a steady pipeline of candidates for our client’s diverse needs.

Outcome

We have been able to maintain a 90% successful placement rate of skilled administrative professionals who support key areas such as facilities, hospitality, event coordination, property administration, tenant services, and operations.
